The range of products dedicated to the hygienic and cosmetic sector constitute a very attractive market for the nonwoven industry, which is wide and includes many types of products. The tendency of the sector is addressed to the continuous research of products more and more performing both from the point of view of physical-mechanical features and the need of specific functionalities, as well as the possibility to increase the silky and hand properties of the product. In this context of continuous research of new and technologically evolved solutions, the project of Texol S.r.l. is highlighted, (Notice PON “Enterprise and Competitiveness 201-2020 FESR) which is creating innovative nonwoven products, for the hygiene and / or cosmetic sector, containing active ingredients complexed within the nanofibrils of Chitin (CN) that as known have been shown to possess and play a more intense and effective biological activity at the level of the stratum corneum of the epidermis and dermis, compared to traditional products. Specifically, thanks to the new knowledge acquired, biofunctionalized tissues will be developed for the realization of Topsheet and other products, with specific function.
